Rec. Tournament

TIME LIMIT & INNING GUIDELINES:

  1. Playoff games will use a 2-hour time limit; no new inning will begin after two hours. Games will be a maximum of 6 innings. There is no minimum number of innings.

  2. (Games suspended before 5 innings due to weather, darkness, etc. will be continued according to rule #15 of the general rules. Contact the Age coordinator for continuation time & field.)

  3. The maximum number of innings remains the same as stated in the specific age groups rules. (Games ending in a tie during regulation play will be continued until a winner is determined. If suspended due to darkness or weather, refer to "A" above for continuation of games.)

  4. The Championship games will play until the maximum number of innings for that age group is completed. If ending in a tie, the game will continue until a winner is determined.

  5. The All-Star game will be 6 innings even if there is a tie.

ROSTER SUBSTITUTIONS:

  1. Only players on the team's roster, assigned by the group coordinator during the season will be allowed to participate in tournament play.
  2. A team must have a minimum of 8 players to start & play the game. Players showing up late can be added to the end of the roster and are available for field play.

  3. There is NO automatic "Out" for the 9th batting position if only 8 players are available.

BALKS:

  1. For 11-12 age group, each pitcher will get only one warning when committing a balk; on the second balk the runners, if any, will advance.

PITCHING LIMIT RULE:

  1. For a game played on consecutive days due to rainout, schedule conflicts, and etc. (less than the 35 hours), then Rule #27 will be changed to allow these limitations for the game played on the 2nd day of two consecutive game days.

    • Age groups 9-10 & 11-12 = 2 innings max on 2nd consecutive day.

    • Age groups 13-14 & 15-17 = 3 innings max on 2nd consecutive day.

ALL OTHER 'LBL' GENERAL RULES AND SPECIFIC AGE GROUP RULES APPLY AS STATED ABOVE.
