Fall Ball Overview
Longmont Baseball's Fall Ball Program
Longmont Baseball offers a Fall Ball League starting mid-September lasting 8 weeks. Open to ages 9-14, age as of 4/30/09. Fall Ball is an
instructional league that uses modified competitive rules. Games are only played on Sunday afternoons, with no reschedule of games due to weather. Each player receives a "Fall Ball" t-shirt.
Each coach and assistant coach will be required to fill out a background check. After completion of their background check application, Checkpoint, a leading provider in background checks, provides us with social security number verification and any criminal information from the National Criminal File database.
REGISTRATION FEES: $60 per player. All LBL players must register individually. This is a new registration system and if you have not already created a new username and password from Spring or Summer baseball, you must do so to register.
Registration will open July 1, 2009 and end August 22, 2009. Games will start September 13, 2009 and end November 1, 2009.
To register, click on the "REGISTER" button on the left side bar.
We have reevaluated how we are going to run fall baseball this year.
We are going to make fall baseball a continuation of the summer season.
So age will be based on April 30th, 2009. BUT if TEAMS want to play up, they can.
We recommend that if you are a new rec
team moving to competitive, register for the division you played in this Summer.
If this move effects your child please e-mail me and let me know what division you child needs to play in:
10U – 12U - 14U.
If your child is playing fall baseball, and they are not affiliated with team, and they played rec in 2009, they should play in the SAME division they played in this Summer.
We recommend if your child played competitive baseball in 2009 and they are not returning
to their 2009 team they may choose to play up.
By allowing players and teams to choose where they will play should make the fall leagues competitive when combining competitive and recreational players. |
